Cancer Care Western NSW provided establishment funding for the Clinical Trials Unit at Orange Health Service for 3 years.

The Unit is now independent. It services the Central West and Orange are. The Trials Unit is working to assist and access patients in remote areas using ‘teletrials’ through the Telehealth Systems.

Thank you to all our donors for supporting the establishment and Funding of the Clinical Trials Unit.
$300,000 was raised to establish the Unit and to provide operating costs for 3 years. The
Unit is now self-supporting and proudly acknowledged by the Orange Health Service.

Congratulations to Dr Rob Zielinski, Director of the Central West Cancer Care Centre’s Clinical Trials Unit and School of Rural Health alumnus, who was awarded Clinical Research Leader of the Year for leading a NSW-first scheme to provide rural patients with access to new and potentially life-saving cancer treatments.
